Core Values

Faith-Centered
Fortress Christian students will be knowledgeable, able to understand and apply God’s word in their lives.
We believe that the foundation of all instruction and practice is scripture as the inspired, revealed word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Bible leads us to salvation, revealing our need for redemption (Romans 3:23; 6:23) and providing the path through Jesus (Romans 3:25-26). God’s word continues to equip us for a life of purpose and service. We build on the foundation of God’s word.
Florida College Connection
Florida College was founded on the conviction that true education includes knowing God and his word. One clear purpose of the College is to offer students the opportunity to study the Bible as the revealed will of God and the only sufficient rule of faith and practice.

Foundational Care
Fortress Christian students will be dedicated, able to engage in behaviors and activities which display their desire to be more like Jesus.
We believe that spiritual formation involves the education and development of the whole person. In his earthly life, Jesus grew in every dimension (Luke 2:52). Following Jesus involves implementing habits which promote needed growth (Luke 4:16). Soundness should describe our doctrine (Titus 1:13; 2:2) as well as our mind (2 Timothy 1:7), speech (Titus 2:8), and conduct (1 Timothy 1:9-11). We shape the whole person—spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially.
Florida College Connection
Since its founding, Florida College has prioritized holistic development in keeping with the fourfold model of growth demonstrated by Jesus. Students are seen as God’s unique creations—developed through biblical instruction.

Fortified Curriculum
Fortress Christian students will be skilled, able to use a variety of resources, including technology, to solve problems and make wise decisions as stewards of God’s blessings.
We believe that upholding academic standards is an essential part of guiding students on their journey. Knowledge begins with the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7). Students should be instructed in all academic disciplines, and in today’s world, a successful education will include innovation and flexibility in the delivery of instruction. More importantly, students should be taught within an atmosphere that nourishes and enriches faith. We pursue academic excellence through a biblical lens.
Florida College Connection
Florida College emphasizes an integration of the Bible into the total curriculum through systematic and regular Bible study. Florida College teaches students to think critically, communicate effectively, and solve problems individually and collectively.

Focused Community
Fortress Christian students will be disciples, following the teaching and conduct of godly examples, while ultimately following the perfect example of Jesus.
We believe that growth occurs in students when everyone works together for the same purpose. God’s ideal model calls for the parent to be the primary spiritual influence of a child (Deuteronomy 6:4-7; Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:4). We seek to support parents by surrounding students with godly teachers and peers from around the country, forming a Christ-centered community that values connection, accountability, and shared purpose (Romans 12:4-5). We partner with families to build Christlike disciples.
Florida College Connection
Florida College recognizes the home as the basic unit of society. In addition, the College seeks to foster strong, lifelong relationships with faculty, staff, and fellow students, providing opportunities to develop social skills and cultural knowledge needed for success in every sphere of life.
