Welcome from Head of School

Alex Hale, M.S.E.
DIRECTOR OF ONLINE EDUCATION, FLORIDA COLLEGE HEAD OF SCHOOL, FORTRESS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
As Florida College’s Director of Online Education, it is the honor of a lifetime to play a role in shaping and expanding this online educational platform for K-12 students. Our team is excited to launch programming for grades 7-12 in fall 2025, with K-6 to follow in fall 2026. Through collaboration with subject matter experts across the country, we have worked to create a curriculum that is engaging, relevant, and practical for students – and most importantly, one that is rooted in the principles of God’s word.
In my career, I have been blessed to work as a public school administrator and teacher. As a product of public school myself, I value the hard work of public school teachers, many of whom are working in less than ideal conditions. With that said, I am also aware of the evolving landscape of education, particularly the move toward more school choice options. While there are several reasons for this shift, one simply cannot deny that it is driven in part by moral concerns within certain sectors of public education. Legislative initiatives at the state level present exciting opportunities to innovate and expand educational offerings, ensuring that more students have access to high-quality learning experiences that align with their individual interests, needs, and values. Within this atmosphere, Florida College desires to provide a flexible and affordable online learning environment grounded in Christian principles which empowers families to choose the educational path that best suits their needs. Fortress Christian School is the culmination of that desire.
Since 1946, Florida College has been “A Friend to Youth.” Fortress Christian will afford the College yet another opportunity to serve young souls and their families, across our nation and potentially around the world. I would love the opportunity to discuss how your family could fit within this mission.
Brotherly,
